Conversation about Charleston on the WORD talk line

00:09 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:33 Oh beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties. 01:08 Share his grace on thee. 01:22 America is back. we are certainly trying, sir. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Ken and Nebo. Ken, how you doing? I'm doing fine today. Hope you are. Yes, sir. Taking a call. Yeah. Really quick. Is an unaffiliated voter? There's no there's no other radio stations to call. There's not a Democratic. 01:51 call in show, of course, for obvious reasons. uh uh, you know, I don't never call in to uh aim or arm or disarm or anything. It's so cool to call in with my independent opinion. And, uh, that's what brings me to calling into today is, on the TSA, I haven't heard the question asked yet. And there are 20 airports in this country. The airlines or the airports supply their own security. And I think they, the airlines. 02:20 are big enough to support that kind of change. And while it has been a topic of discussion through the years on whether we fund anything. And I know after 9-11 is when the TSA started. That's when they became federalized. Yeah. Okay. But now we don't have it on the rail system where the Ukrainian woman got stabbed by a monster that got on the train down there. don't have it on, we don't have a federal agent at bus stations for a possible. Yeah, that's true. 02:49 activity and uh... we don't have it on cruise ship i imagine cruise ships and other uh... uh... this uh... does the real system the uh... start with a it's national that they have and try federal yes i don't that's a good question okay but as you know i mean i don't know you sure in the future that would be something that would really make my day is to see me not paying for 03:17 I never fly and I probably never will. It's just one of those kind of questions that all different lines and points of view try to make it to the middle to where their ideas and thoughts can be considered that I don't want to be paying for other people's security when you and Mike Gallagher and Joey Hudson fly and don't take that personal. Thanks for taking the call. All Ken. I appreciate it. Let's go to Dave in Spartanburg. Dave, how are you? Hi, Joey. How are you? I'm good, 03:46 about date gave that yet that that i would be one i've heard cat that i can't get a little bit back to record i think it's a great he so they don't have to vote they know what walk it through that all the dairy right which we take it while we try to eat we could do it you got a whole different by what trump to do it that way i feel it and then he should call out every federal wall do it but the full but every day 04:16 they go call you at the local court but the pressure on them so they have to do that at the only way it can work because it's ever going to they know what it's not a direct relation they felt that right they met uh... uh... with the grand the lap dog there they did do so about that if you want to do so i've worked out a bit he should make a financial component that i felt and then try to put it through our recollection but he won't do it 04:45 but he doesn't really want to do it. exactly right. Exactly right. They don't want to do it. That's exactly it. And that's why reconciliation works for them. Oh, we'll push it off. Knowing that, the problem with terrorists is they know it's not on it, you can't do it. Sorry, and then they're going to say, well, see, we tried. We tried. Sorry. We it our best shot. We gave it our best shot. You're right about that, Dave. Exactly. 05:13 and is that the lot of these people they might just be looking for a scapegoat and the scapegoat is going to be elizabeth mcdonough the senate parliamentarian non-partisan as they say it's got a bryan in gaffney brian welcome hr yes sir i uh... i want to call it that i agree with your uh... last caller that you ended been called on karen uh... people that get on a plane should uh... paper their own protection it should be in ticket prices rather than 05:41 taxpayers money for people that don't well that one our decision that was a day you know all that happened after nine eleven and they decided to i know federalized airport security i agree with them all i i think it should be party palm on plane flight com are you ticket price whether you're on a plane whether you're on a train on a box whatever it should be part of the ticket price that's a luxury 06:05 I don't want say it's a luxury, Brian. I appreciate you calling in. I wouldn't say it's a luxury. Now, in my case, yeah, okay, that's fine. I only travel when I only fly when I go on vacation. But I don't know. I mean, that might be something we would absolutely have to look at. All right. I get a lot of people sending me text and emails and they'll say, Charlie, I'm really interested in politics, but I just don't know how to get started. Can you point me in the right direction? Well, yes, actually I can. 06:34 Coming up on Saturday morning, they are having the back to basics breakfast. Now, this is going to be at the Golden Corral at 3240 North Pleasantburg Drive, all right, in Greenville. That's tomorrow. I'm sorry. Saturday morning starts at nine o'clock. We're going to have uh House Representative Mike Burns is going to be there. County Council Chairman Bitten Blunt is going to be there. They're going to be giving us updates. There's going to be a lot of people there. 07:02 that are involved either actively or inactively, sort of uh in politics that you can get a lot of good information from. So they're looking for good people to get in and get more involved in politics. It's the Back to Basics Breakfast. It's gonna be fellowship, candidate recruitment, talking about key issues. Again, that's at 3240 North Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville, Saturday morning, 9 a.m. till about 10.30 p.m. Let's go to Erica. 07:31 uh... and daughter erica welcome how are you i want to hear i'm great what's up account response that the gentleman one for me that i don't know what you commented about the key to saying how it should be paid for about that that ticket buyer yet made that during nine eleven the tfk what wouldn't have just protected the people on the plane it would protect the people the plane kit yeah that's true people who died in nine eleven didn't fly that they are protection 08:00 That's a good point, Erica. Good point this afternoon. I appreciate it. Thank you very much. right. WORD Talkline 800-905-0-989. John is in Wayneville. It's on him. John, welcome. Hey, sir. Yeah, our government has become tyrannical and seditious. right now, our country, I don't think that some people realize that we're hanging by a thread. We're just one step away from being a 08:29 complete police state okay and in what way john that's a pretty broad as a pretty bold statement go ahead it is uh... but it's very true uh... the reason is charlie is because what's happening just take all of the line of crimes that have been committed against american people from uh... january six uh... look look at what's happened with the seditious six we can look at it blooming for all what you said about 08:58 us killing and shooting people in the airports. All these things are seditioned, Charlie. And because they are doing things and the judges and the local mayors and the governments are doing and committing crimes, because what they're doing is illegal things against our just laws, that is a police state. They've become, when you say police state, Charlie, you're talking about mob rule. Our government has become a mob in themselves. 09:29 And if we don't get on the ball and get a lot of these people out of power, the next turn we make could be one where we're under complete police state. Now, what they'll do, try, is they'll give us just enough, they'll feed us just enough, they'll throw us enough crumbs to think that we're still in control. They'll pass some bills, they'll do this, and they'll do that. But that's not truly a true republic when they are actually being selective on the laws that they fulfill. 09:58 So that is a sedition when you selectively use laws or implement them. here's what, know, and you just brought up the term Republic, where we're all supposed to be represented. When we've got 86 % of Americans saying that you should have an ID to be able to vote and you should be able to prove you're an American citizen and they still won't do it, I'll agree with you 100 % on that. That is not a Republican form of government. 10:26 not at all charlie and so we're in a very bad situation where we're we're hanging by a strip a string now now uh... terrace of this morning she said that we are actually uh... under police state and i understand what she means that it's not a complete control rule because then you'd have a civilian uh... the civilian population up rise you would have a revolt and so we're we're under a false pro security trolley runner false pretends that 10:52 We still maintain control of this country. We do not because they are randomly uh bringing harm to innocent victims at will and they're getting away with it constantly. So how long, how many decades are they going to keep doing these things against the American people before we realize that we no longer have control of our country? Well, that's it, but you know what? That's control that we have just given up because people just don't vote. I appreciate it. Let's go to Troy in Greenville real quick. Troy, welcome. 11:19 yes sir i don't know if you're good good what's on your mind pal uh... i was just thinking that and the constitution only legal citizens are allowed to vote right and at the trump administration can subpoena the voter roll but they can clean them up and verify that everyone on the rolls or said then at the state's failed to submit those 11:46 records, couldn't they hold federal funds? Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. In fact, that's part of the save act that, you know, they've got to show the federal government their voter rolls, but they don't want to do that because there's information on there. Like they don't have it to begin with. You're absolutely right, Troy. We'll be right back. This is the Charlie James Show, News Talk 98.9 WORD, the voice of the Carolinas.
