Little over five hours from now, the world could look a lot different than it does right now, especially if you\'re over in a little place called Iranistan. um The deadline is still in place. We did bomb Karg Island overnight last night and this morning. um\n\n00:28\nThat is their main oil hub that they have over in Iran. And again, President Trump putting that deadline at 8 p.m. Well, we\'re hearing two different things. It\'s kind uh of unusual, but we are hearing two different things. We are hearing that negotiations are ongoing. Okay, all right, we got that. And then at the same time, we are hearing that Iran has cut off all direct\n\n00:55\nnegotiations with the United States. Now, what this means is they\'re not. It\'s like they\'re going. You tell the United States, this is what we\'re going to do. You tell the United and then they tell somebody over there in Qatar, wherever it is, and then Qatar goes, here\'s what they want to do. Well, you tell Iran that way. So that\'s what it is. There\'s no direct communication.\n\n01:21\nSo it\'s going through some back channels. It\'s going through third parties, as you see this. But Brett Baier says that he got off the phone with the president, and uh the countdown, the deadline\'s still on. But I just got off the phone with the president, and he called, and I said, listen, ah if you were to put odds on it, what were the odds that this is going to end up being a negotiated deal?\n\n01:50\nHe said he wasn\'t going to put odds on it, but he said 8 p.m. is happening. That\'s what he said. He said, it is if we get to that point, there is going to be an attack like they have not seen. Now he\'s sticking to that at this point. Now he said if negotiations move forward today and there is something concrete that could change. But at this hour, he didn\'t want to put odds on it.\n\n02:19\nBut he said it is moving forward with the plans that we have. That\'s a huge deal. And obviously we all think that it\'s a thing that he\'s putting out there to say, don\'t do this. He says he doesn\'t want to do it, but he is at this hour sticking to it and saying it might be likely if they don\'t come to the table. So we will see they\'ve got, like I said, a little under five hours now.\n\n02:48\nto make some...here\'s what I would just be making. I mean, think about this. They\'ve already seen what we can do. They\'ve seen what we\'ve done.\n\n03:02\nIf I were in a NIBA, you know, let\'s let yeah, well, yeah, let\'s talk. Let\'s have some talking going on. Let\'s have a lot of talking going on. But right now they are literally they are the prisoner on death row in the electric chair, hoping that that phone rings from the governor.\n\n03:27\nSo eight o\'clock tonight, our time, we don\'t know what the world is gonna look like. so this is, oh my goodness. And all of these people out there, Alex Jones is out there. Alex Jones is calling for the 25th Amendment to be used against President Donald Trump. Alex Jones, you got Candace O\'Brien.\n\n03:57\nCandace Owens, and we\'re gonna talk about this a little bit more later on in the show, but Candace Owens is out there talking about how, oh, oh my goodness.\n\n04:07\nWe got that whole rescue actually claiming that the rescue of the pilot over in Iran was a huge failure. That\'s what she said. That\'s what she said. And then you got, remember that guy, Joe Kent, the guy that just got removed? He\'s out there saying that we were actually going to kill the stranded soldier. I\'m not even joking.\n\n04:36\nThese conspiracy theorists out there, they have lost their ever-loving minds and I don\'t know why. That I just don\'t get.\n\n04:46\nSo I don\'t understand it. So Mark Kelly, know, Mark Kelly, he was part of the Seditious Six, um which by the way, um by the way, the Seditious Six is now the Seditious Seven.\n\n05:06\nbecause there are people out there that are actively telling our military, asking them, ah do not follow Trump\'s orders. Don\'t follow Trump\'s orders. It\'s not a good thing. So I don\'t know. I have no idea what\'s going on. So again, eight o\'clock tonight, gonna get very interesting. know everybody\'s gonna be watching the news at eight o\'clock tonight. And of course, I will absolutely be doing that as well. Also coming up, uh\n\n05:36\nLindsey Graham was on the telephone with Bill Frady yesterday, and Lindsey Graham said that they were going to try to get... um\n\n05:48\nHomeland Security funded through a reconciliation package. And then Lindsey Graham said they were gonna try to get the Save America Act funded incrementally, incrementally through.\n\n06:05\nReconciliation. Senator Mike Lee is calling Lindsey Graham out on this because there\'s just no way that that\'s going to be done. We\'ll have that coming up in just a little bit. And NATO.\n\n06:22\nThere was a meeting of the UN Security Council today and we were trying to get them, instead of us having to do all of this stuff, get NATO and their Security Council to go in and open up the Strait of Hormuz. China voted against it. I believe Russia voted against it. I don\'t think it was Russia. It was somebody else that voted against it. And because of that, NATO is absolutely useless.\n\n06:51\nwhy we still are in NATO is beyond me. It really is. And the president is still looking and is going to continue looking for the leaker of all of that information that put our military uh in grave danger, in more danger than they should have been.\n\n07:14\nbecause Iran didn\'t know we had a second pilot over there until some leaker somewhere in the government went to a news agency and reported it. And she posted the other day to something like, to our military members refuse these orders. And I was like, well, guess what? You\'re gone. What illegal orders? Oh, we don\'t know of any illegal orders. We\'re just telling people not to follow illegal orders. You mean for no obvious reason? Yeah, that\'s right. For no obvious reason, we\'re telling people not to follow illegal orders. But you can\'t prove any illegal orders. If you think I\'m going to allow them, and powerful and rich, to have a...\n\n11:19\nnuclear weapon, you can tell your friends at the New York Times not going to happen. So Merkley is out there. it\'s what? See, that\'s the new. Ah, that\'s the new catchphrase of the day. The new catchphrase of the day, war crimes. It doesn\'t matter. That\'s interesting because Mark Kelly, remember Mark Kelly? He was one of the seditious six. um Mark Kelly,\n\n12:26\nactually did what they\'re talking about. There is not a young man or woman out on the tip of the spear that wants any of this. War is the ultimate failure of the human condition. So just know that the United States military wants to avoid all of this, but we follow the orders.\n\n12:54\nof the commander in chief. And Emily, I got to be honest with you. Let me lead with this. The people frothing at the mouth today, clutching their pearls about alleged war crimes if the president decides to target infrastructure. And I\'m going to target a fellow naval aviator. The guy\'s just making my skin crawl right now is Captain Mark Kelly. Captain Kelly flew A6s in Desert Storm. I\'m sure all of you on the panel remember shock and awe.\n\n13:21\nIn the first 24 to 48 to 72 hours of desert storm, all we targeted was infrastructure, power plants, TVs, bridges, roads. The first things you do in any air campaign is to target the infrastructure. So the president is actually doing this in reverse. He has avoided targeting infrastructure. Why? Because he wanted to leave a lot of this stuff intact for the great Iranian people. So all the pearl clutching and the\n\n13:48\nand the folks like Mark Kelly allegedly Mark Kelly\'s admitting to committing war crimes when he flew a six is in Desert Storm because we obliterated we obliterated their infrastructure and now he\'s out there saying well the president does this it\'s a war crime so man if it wasn\'t for their double standards they\'d have no standard at all. And he\'s absolutely right so you can\'t go after the infrastructure. Daddy what you do in the war I went after infrastructure so are you a war criminal.\n\n14:19\nNo, but Trump is. Trump is the war criminal. See, it doesn\'t matter what they\'ve done. Doesn\'t matter what they\'ve said. Doesn\'t matter anything about that. But because Trump is doing it, it\'s wrong. They could have already done it. And Mark Kelly did. Mark Kelly did the one thing that he is saying that Trump shouldn\'t do. And if Trump does it, it\'s going to constitute a war crime.\n\n14:49\nTell me how that is, like, whizbuckling and a lot of other people have said, if the Democrats didn\'t have double standards, they would have no standards whatsoever.\n\n15:02\nSo tonight\'s going to be the night. And that\'s exactly right. Lloyds of London, they pretty much got a monopoly on all of the cargo traffic, the oil, any maritime traffic. In fact, if you are a ship,\n\n17:11\nanywhere on this planet and go look, I was shocked at how many ships there are out there. Go look at that maritime tracking uh website. It\'s amazing. And you just look at all of those ships and you think, I mean the cargo ships, we\'re not talking about the boats, but the ships. You look at those cargo ships and think that there\'s basically one company on this planet that is providing\n\n17:41\nor selling insurance to those companies for those ships. And that\'s Lloyds of London. So when the Gulf of Hormuz really started becoming problematic, it wasn\'t so much that there was danger happening, but the Lloyds of London actually canceled their maritime war insurance. And if you don\'t have insurance, you don\'t go. Your engines don\'t turn. Your propellers are stationary.\n\n18:12\nLloyd\'s of London was really one of the people, if you want to look at the reason why gas prices are so high and there were so few people at one time, so few ships going through the Strait of Hormuz, it was because of Lloyd\'s of London. It\'s the Charlie James Show, News Talk 98.9, WORD, the voice of the Carolinas.\n\n19:05\nSo Bill Frady, I\'m sorry, Lindsey Graham called into Bill Frady\'s show yesterday and he was talking about funding the Department of Homeland Security and he was talking about the SAVE Act, you see. Now the first thing he said about the SAVE Act and doing away with the filibuster was, and I thought, I when I was listening to this, was literally, I\'m telling you what, I\'m gonna crack my teeth one day from grinding them, from listening to Lindsey Graham.\n\n19:36\nHe said, well, you know, we can\'t just do away with the filibuster. We have to do it incrementally. Maybe take it down from 60 vote threshold to a 57 vote threshold and then maybe, and I assume, you know, a 55 vote threshold and then we just do 54 votes and then none of that is gonna matter. None of that\'s gonna matter.\n\n20:03\nAs long as the Democrats have any power, they\'re going to use it. And as long as you\'ve got people like Murkowski and you\'ve got McConnell and you\'ve got all of these other rhinos in the Senate and there are many Tom Tillis, John Thune, you name them.\n\n20:24\nYou\'re not going to get that done. So the only thing you can do, the only thing that you can actually do to actually get the president\'s agenda passed, and remember they\'ve sent fewer bills to the president\'s desk than any other congress in the past 70 years. I think the count is like 34, 35. It\'s in the 30s. The only way that you can get the president\'s agenda passed\n\n20:54\nis do away with the filibuster. So all we hear from Lindsay are these ads about sanctuary cities. We\'re gonna do away with sanctuary cities. Come here, Lindsay. Come on over here. Come here. How are you gonna do that? Because that\'s gonna take 60 votes. That\'s gonna take 60 votes to get done. So again, you can either do away with the filibuster now,\n\n21:20\nwhen it will actually benefit this country or the Democrats are gonna do away with the filibuster when they get into power and that is not going to help this country. that\'s really your only option. So then he comes along and he talks about funding DHS and the Save America Act and he says, what we\'re gonna do is we\'re gonna use...\n\n21:50\nOh my gosh, it\'s literally ludicrous. We\'re to use reconciliation. Now reconciliation is used for budgetary matters. Now what he is saying, what Lindsey Graham is saying is, um\n\n22:10\nyou use the budget process to fund the Department of Homeland Security, TSA, things like that. right, that I understand. That I get. I don\'t think it\'s going to happen, but I get it. So then he talks about the Save America Act and he talks about passing, are you ready? Parts. His words, Lindsey Graham\'s words, we\'re going to, through reconciliation, we\'re going to parts\n\n22:39\nof the Save America Act. And how is he going to do that? Well, he\'s going to tie it to grants. If you\'re a state that receives grants from the United States of America, you have to turn over your voter rolls. Well, Lindsay, let me tell you something. They\'ve got judges out there right now who are ready\n\n23:03\nto stay that order. You got people out there that are ready to sue and they\'re going to file an injunction and that\'s not going to get done either. So he wants to get out there and do all of this stuff through reconciliation. I wish we had in this state a senator like Senator Mike Lee who talked about what Lindsay\'s proposal was. There are lot of things that can be passed through a Senate procedure known as budget reconciliation through which\n\n23:31\nwe can pass things with a simple majority vote. The Save America Act isn\'t one of those things. It can\'t pass through budget reconciliation because it\'s a policy. ah It is not budgetary. And even if you attach money to it, there are things at the margins we could do to help facilitate compliance with it. But the restrictions themselves have basically zero chance of meeting the standard to pass through budget reconciliation. look, regardless,\n\n24:01\nthere are other reasons out there to do budget reconciliation do not be fooled into thinking that we can set down the save act the save America act and just pick it up on budget reconciliation that\'s not going to work thanks not it no and he\'s absolutely right he\'s it\'s not going to work because the Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth McDonough you isn\'t going to allow it she\'s not going to allow that now\n\n24:29\nWho is Elizabeth McDonough? She is the Senate parliamentarian. She gets to tell them, the members of the Senate, hey, what you\'re doing is either complies with the rules or what you\'re doing is against the rules. And when you try to do that with reconciliation, she\'s going to tell you that that\'s against the rules. Now, Elizabeth McDonough, funny enough, hilarious,\n\n24:58\nhow these things come back to bite your right square in the buttocks. Elizabeth McDonough, is a Democrat appointee as the Senate Parliamentarian. John Thune had the opportunity when he became the Senate Majority Leader to replace Elizabeth McDonough, but he didn\'t do that.\n\n25:24\nWhy? Because he didn\'t want to. Now, ladies and gentlemen, let\'s go to the speaker of the House of the sovereign state of Jamestown. It\'s J.R. in Westminster. How you doing, J.R.? Charlie, I\'m doing I\'m doing great, man. oh If and tell me if I\'m wrong. It\'s my understanding that sitting Senator Lindsey Graham may be ducking you maybe almost as much as he is ducking me. oh\n\n25:53\nAnd doesn\'t really want to face the music. want to take the hard questions. It gets even worse than that, JR. I hear, I\'ve heard from some people, that Lindsay doesn\'t even want to be at events that I\'m at. Huh. Yeah. Wow. I\'m in good company. I don\'t feel bad. Yeah, good. Yeah, he won\'t return my calls. He ducks me. He does.\n\n26:22\nHe can run, but he can\'t hide. But you know, the bottom line is at some point in time, you know, especially in June, and I put this out to all of the Charlie James listeners, uh really scrutinize the senators record. uh And it\'s not hard. It\'s public. You know, pick up public information. And so, uh you know, and you ask yourself, has you know, he been doing what\'s in the best?\n\n26:50\nInterest not of Venezuela not of Iran not of you know Afghanistan ever has he been doing what\'s in the best interest of South Carolinians now and You know and it\'s not a hard question to answer but you know, look it\'s the the the hourglass is the sands are running out people do your homework uh Charlie you keep bringing us the information. There are tons of oh\n\n27:19\nviable candidates out there. uh A lot of these incumbents have to go. There is a young man down in the Orangeburg area running against Jim Clyburn, uh black Republican. Yeah. Maurice Washington. know him well. Okay. So, know, Jay, know what he\'s talking about. now we got to get on board, man.\n\n27:47\nHow can you have, you like I said, you have the hateful, bigoted, racist people like uh Clyburn, and, you know, we\'ve got to get on point, and those conservatives that uh are really for the people, man, you know. But if I, you know, we need to support them. But if I can, I will pull some strings. You know I can. And I will get the senator, see if he will, you know, uh man up.\n\n28:15\nHe\'s always welcome. So in the next 63 days, you need to make an absolute decision that you are going to vote to make a change in South Carolina. If you don\'t like the way that our state legislature is raising your taxes, then you need to go vote.\n\n29:37\nIf you don\'t like the way your roads are in South Carolina or your bridges, then you need to go vote.\n\n29:45\nAnd I\'m not talking about 13.5 % voter turnout. I\'m talking about big-time voter turnout. And here\'s also what I\'m talking about. If you don\'t like the fact that Democrats who are in the vast minority in Colombia, but yet have a considerable amount of power, then you need to go vote in 63 days. That needs to happen.\n\n30:14\nBecause we\'re in a mess. Not only in this country, we\'re in a mess in this state. Stop saying it\'s a great day in South Carolina because it ain\'t. It\'s a great day in South Carolina? Oh yeah, could you prove it? Could you prove how great things are in South Carolina? I just hit a pothole.\n\n30:34\nand my whole car disintegrated. Could you maybe do something about that? anyway, over, well, what do we got now? We\'re going on four hours until the deadline tonight. Now Pakistan, Pakistan, of all, when you talk about great arbiters of peace throughout the globe, um Pakistan really doesn\'t come up, does it?\n\n31:00\nYou know, although all of the peaceful countries of the planet, don\'t think, you know, Pakistan, they\'re pretty, they\'re pretty, no, they\'re not.
