According to reports, Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has ordered an official investigation into whether criminal charges or civil penalties should be pursued against Democratic nominee Mary Peltola's campaign. The probe follows allegations that Peltola's team and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee engaged in a covert effort to search for and recruit a candidate sharing a similar name to the Republican incumbent, Senator Dan S. Sullivan, to act as a spoiler.
