Adam Anderson, Chairman & CEO of T. Parker Host, joins Newell to discuss Avondale Global Gateway receiving a 15,000-ton shipment of Venezuelan aluminum last week, the first Venezuelan aluminum to reach the U.S. in eight years and nearly double the size of the last one in 2018. The cargo follows the Trump administration’s easing of sanctions, and it’s being brokered by Heeney Capital and Mercuria, which have deals they say could generate $2.2 billion a year in Venezuelan mineral exports. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Steve Scalise, and Julia Letlow was on hand for the arrival.
