For the midterm elections, Bill argues that the media overstates the trouble Republicans face. Although Republicans may occasionally fumble, they still come across as normal people. In contrast, the Democrats have shifted so far to the left that they can no longer see the middle ground, choosing instead to embrace extremists. Could the rising embrace of socialism among the youth simply stem from boredom? Today's kids are exposed to so much constant stimuli that maintaining their interest is a challenge. After being taught in school that the United States is bad, they are easily drawn in by socialists offering a shiny new alternative.
