On this Sunday’s edition of News You Can Use on WTIC Newstalk 1080 at 5:30 AM and 9:00 AM, host Ann Baldwin is joined by Dr. Nadine Thomas, Executive Director of The Underground NE, a Connecticut-based nonprofit dedicated to combating human trafficking through education, prevention, and direct survivor support.
The organization helps survivors rebuild their lives through its Adult Mentor Program (AMP!), which connects individuals with mentors and essential resources, including housing, healthcare, and life skills training.
Dr. Thomas will also discuss the organization's upcoming Stand-Up for Freedom Comedy Show on Saturday, November 7, in Wethersfield. The evening will feature comedian Kerri Pomarolli, a survivor art show, and an opportunity to support The Underground NE's work. Tune in to learn more about the organization and how you can get involved. For more information, visit theundergroundne.org.
