$2.8 Million is being invested in the Greene Valley Forest Preserve.
Planned upgrades include adding paved trail connections, relocating the preserve entrance to improve safety and traffic flow, building a new picnic shelter, and replacing existing toilets with modern flush washrooms powered by a solar array.
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County says the Greene Valley Forest Preserve welcomes 400,000 visitors annually.
The preserve improvements project is expected to be completed by late Summer or early Fall 2027.
