The government wants to cut down on Chicago's traffic

Chicago has the worst road congestion in the United States according to the transportation analytics company INRIX. The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are kicking off the "Freedom to Drive" initiative, in hopes of reducing traffic delays by 15 minutes per day per driver. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy recently sent a letter to Governor JB Pritzker, asking Illinois to identify some of the worst areas drivers are dealing with in the state.
