This will be the first season of college football for Salem Community College down in Carneys Point, New Jersey. While the program is new, the man building it is a very familiar face in local college football circles. It's Jay Accorsi, who spent more than two decades as the head coach of Division III Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey before retiring in April of 2024. The first game in Mighty Oaks history will be Saturday, August 29th at Pennsville High School against Hudson Valley Community College. Matt Leon caught up with Jay Accorsi to fins out what to expect from his squad this season and what it has been like laying the foundation for the program.
