The hosts round up top regional developments on the "St. Louis Morning Brief," leading with an overnight police shooting at an Imo's Pizza in Bridgeton on St. Charles Rock Road, where an armed former employee held workers hostage before being fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire with responding officers. The discussion turns to newly revealed court timelines in the fatal Interstate 170 shooting of 17-year-old Alyssa Wilson, noting that the Texas suspects visited the Ferguson Police Department two hours earlier to report being followed by a red vehicle. Additional local coverage touches on community pushback surrounding a controversial public art statue installed in the Fox Park neighborhood, St. Louis University Men's Basketball securing 22 nationally televised broadcast appearances with Tom Ackerman joining the coverage team, and a St. Peters drunken driving crash resulting in a six-year prison sentence.
