Today, psychedelic drugs are being used to treat mental health conditions. Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation in 2025, making it easier to study how psychedelics can treat conditions like PTSD and depression. The federal government this year reclassified Marijuana, formally recognizing its medical benefits.
