A 16-year-old shot and killed three children and a teacher at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon.
Another child and a teacher are in critical condition.
Police say the attacker forced his way into Silver Rail Elementary School by shooting at locked doors.
Police say the gunman was shot by a person who saw him going into the school and followed him.
The attacker used a pump-action shotgun that was purchased by his mother, according to a law enforcement official.
