Two men convicted in the murder of an 18-year-old rapper six years ago in West Philadelphia learned their fate today.
Donovan Williams will spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in the July 2020 shooting death of Aamir Johnson Daye.
Bahij Dini was sentenced to 13-and-a-half to 42 years.
District Attorney Larry Krasner says this was a long time coming.
The shooting happened on July 5, 2020, at a home on 61st near Master Street.
The DA says it took more than 15 months to track down one of the defendants, and three years to find the other. Daye's mother says she's grateful for the persistence of investigators.
Krasner's office is still seeking information on this shooting though, saying one or two more people may have been involved. (Photo: Getty Images)
