Two high schools in the region were on lockdown Monday morning after receiving separate threats.
Students and staff at Pennsbury High School were sent home and will have virtual instruction for the rest of the day.
It was just before 8 a.m. when the school district received a call from a California number who said they were on their way to the East High School in Falls Township, Bucks County, with an assault rifle and a pipe bomb.
The district believes it was just a hoax, but police are conducting a full search of the campus out of precaution prior to students returning.
And in Chester County, Conestoga High School was also on lockdown because of what the district called a potential threat. But officials now say students and staff there are safe.
