Construction along Girard Point Bridge to bring lane closures, delays

There will be overnight lane closures for a construction project on the Girard Point Bridge and approaching the bridge this week. Starting at 9 p.m., one lane will shut down on northbound I-95 between Enterprise Avenue and Broad Street, then two lanes will be closed between midnight and 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday night. Wednesday through Friday, there will be similar closures in that area on the southbound side. And starting today, PennDOT is fixing potholes on dozens of state highways. Since the beginning of the year, PennDOT has received more than 2,100 reports of potholes in Philadelphia and the suburbs. Drivers should be on the lookout for road crews along I-95 and the Vine Street Expressway. There could be lane closures and possible delays. (photo credit: Getty Images)
