The president of Cornell University faced tough questions from faculty over the school's handling of a woman's report of a gang rape at a frat house.
The faculty is debating a no-confidence vote in the school administration. That vote is expected to happen in two weeks.
Faculty Senator Iris Packman said during a closed-door meeting on Wednesday, the president got heated. The president asked for more time to implement reforms and push for cultural changes in student social life. He insisted experienced leadership was necessary to confront problems that, he said, "are not simplistic; they’re not easy; they can’t be brushed aside with a wave of a hand.”
