A Trump dividend and a surprise video visit by Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman kicked off the GOP midterm convention in Dallas.
During his keynote address, President Donald Trump promised to give every American money if Republicans win in November. That could cost more than $1 trillion, and it's not clear how he'd pay for it.
Earlier in the day, Fetterman made a surprise appearance to introduce Republican Sen. Dave McCormick. Fetterman also praised Trump for his support of steelworkers.
Fetterman insisted he will still vote with the Democrats if they regain control of the Senate in November.
