After the Philadelphia School Board called for a second recess on Thursday, due to City Council members who led stakeholders, including students, to protest a vote on that facilities plan that includes closing 17 public schools, the school board resorted to a virtual meeting. After a rather quick session, a divided school board voted to approve the plan.
