The former Franklin Mills Mall will not become a hotel and water park — at least not anytime soon. The property in the Northeast has been taken off the market after nearly a year.
The Philadelphia Business Journal reports the mall's court-appointed receiver will try to fill it with new stores before it goes back up for sale. It's about 40% occupied now.
A developer had said he planned to transform Franklin Mall into a residential and recreational development, but the receiver says a contract was never signed.
