Immigrant advocates are urging business owners and event planners to take a free online training course, to prepare for possible ICE activity at FIFA World Cup watch parties.
Olyvia Armstrong of the Pennsylvania Immigration Coalition says World Cup events are likely to attract a lot of foreign-born fans:
“These trainings will insure that planners are equipped to understand their rights and support them in developing pro-active safety plans in the event that ICE shows up.”
The trainings are being offered Thursday, June 4 and this Monday, June 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There’s a sign-up link on KYWNewsradio.com.
