It’s… not a scam? Pennsylvania Turnpike plans to start texting drivers about unpaid tolls

The Pennsylvania Turnpike does not text drivers about unpaid tolls... but now, the Pennsylvania Turnpike is going to start texting drivers about unpaid tolls. An official with the Turnpike Commission says they are still working out the messaging, as they know most of us have gotten scam texts demanding payment. A commission spokeswoman says they will develop a way to ensure drivers can trust these texts from the turnpike. They plan to begin testing the program in June. (Photo credit: Pennsylvania Turnpike)
