Authorities have charged a man they say threatened to kill and injure two people in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for over a year.
U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer says 37-year-old Jarvis Shabazz appeared in a Camden court for the first time today.
It all started in October of 2022 when officials say Shabazz began leaving disturbing voice messages to one person, threatening to kill them.
Officials say he would keep this up over the next 15 months, harassing that same person and another victim.
Shabazz’s threats were filled with violent imagery, religious references, racial epithets, and obscenity.
He's said to have ties to New Jersey, Georgia, Malaysia, Morocco, and Albania.
Shabazz faces charges including interstate threats and two counts of cyberstalking.
