New developments in the alleged 2024 gang rape of a college undergrad by seven Cornell University fraternity brothers.
ABC News reports "Jane Doe" called three of her alleged attackers afterward, and is heard in recordings telling one of them, "If I wanted to take this somewhere, what y'all did would be classified as gang rape."
This comes as New York Governor Kathy Hochul removes the local district attorney from the case and installs state Attorney General Letitia James as a special prosecutor. Hochul says the D-A and police should have done more.
Students at Cornell yesterday discussed the online "I am Jane Doe" campaign. Women like Shay Thomas, a math major, are using the phrase to show solidarity.
So far, no criminal charges have been filed.
