PennDOT begins resurfacing roads in Philly and suburbs

If you're sick of swerving to avoid potholes, then this will be welcome news. PennDOT is beginning work to resurface 20 state roads in Philadelphia and the suburbs. Starting today, there will be lane restrictions on Broad Street from Oregon Avenue to the Navy Yard. The same for State Road and Bustleton Pike in Bucks County. And next week, work will begin on Route 1 in Middletown Township, Delaware County. In all, PennDOT says it will repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region. (Photo credit: Getty Images)
