The measles outbreak plaguing the U.S. appears to be getting worse in Pennsylvania.
State health officials are now reporting 903 cases of the virus across 39 counties — an increase of over a dozen more cases since Friday.
Officials, however, say less than 1% of those cases — only four people — are among those who are fully vaccinated.
So far this year, there have been four measles-related deaths across the commonwealth, all of them among unvaccinated individuals.
State officials are urging people to get the MMR vaccine, which gives 97% lifetime protection against measles after two doses. More than 7,900 doses have been given this year.
Symptoms of the virus include fever, cough and runny nose, followed by a rash that starts on the head and spreads down. Anyone exposed to the virus and showing symptoms is advised to call their doctor.
