The Philadelphia Sheriff's Office says a deputy was attacked by a dog while serving an arrest warrant in Northeast Philadelphia this morning.
The dog bit a deputy several times in the leg.
The Sheriff's office says the deputy discharged his firearm at the dog.
He is being treated at an area hospital. His condition is not being disclosed.
It is also unknown if the dog was wounded or killed in the incident.
