Philly is the first stop for one very patriotic plane.
Independence One is scheduled to land at PHL, en route from Dallas.
The Southwest Airlines jet is awash in red, white and blue from nose to tail, with “1776” painted across the front fuselage in a font reminiscent of the Declaration of Independence. “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is along the back, with 13 stars among the words. The engine cowling is also adorned with a circle of stars.
Southwest said Independence One will make special stops throughout this 250th anniversary year.
