St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children lays off workers ahead of Medicaid cuts

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is closing its pediatric kidney transplant program and laying off 32 workers. Some of the workers will be offered other jobs within the hospital. The Philadelphia Business Journal reported the workers were told the move is to reduce costs ahead of a reduction in Medicaid funding later this year.
