Penguins forward Ben Kindel has returned to Pittsburgh after collapsing on the team plane earlier this week. Pens GM Kyle Dubas described the incident as a vasovagal episode. The Mayo Clinic says it is a common, temporary loss of consciousness caused by a sudden drop in heart rate and blood pressure. Dubas said it is unclear what triggered the incident. Kindel has been placed on injured reserve and will have more testing.
