In the final hour, Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes were joined by Dan Wiederer of The Athletic to discuss the Bears' acquisition of star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Titans in a blockbuster trade. He also discussed how the Bears have star quarterback Caleb Williams' next contract in mind with all the moves they make these days. Why is that? Because Williams will command a monster contract, one that could conceivably approach $1 billion in total value depending on what the sides want. After that, Spiegel and Holmes acknowledged that there are some doubters regarding the price the Bears paid to acquire Simmons.
