PG columnist Noah Hiles joined the show. Noah said the Pirates are probably taking calls on Oneil Cruz just like they took calls on him last year. Noah thinks any move made would be to acquire pitching help. Noah thinks the Pirates have actually accomplished some of the goals set from last season. Noah believes the team would look to move prospects before they look into moving Major League players. Is a Mason Miller trade as simple as it sounds? Noah, like Colin Beazley yesterday, said a Miller trade would likely require a salary dump from the Padres too – making it very difficult for the Pirates to do. Noah said we will find out in 2 weeks if the front office really believes in this team. Will a move be made before the deadline? The guys asked Noah to put a percentage on Pirates/prospects being traded by the deadline in 2 weeks. Noah labeled Wyatt Sanford as the ‘perfect trade chip’ in their system.
