Poni is back. He filled the people in on the situation that put him in the hospital early last week and kept him off the show for 5 days. It didn’t take long for him to get fired up over the Joey Porter Jr. situation. Porter debuted for the Texans yesterday and despite people hoping and hoping he would look bad, he didn’t. In fact, it was the exact opposite. Poni had a few other things to get off his chest about the trade that went down last week.
We have more of an idea of what the Joey Porter Jr. contract offer details looked like. The Steelers, reportedly, guaranteed him $42M, which had him on the level of guys most Steelers fans probably never heard of. The guys understand why Porter would view that as disrespectful. The Steelers gave DK Metcalf $60M guaranteed and had a chance to get out of that deal after the debacle in Detroit, but didn’t. The guys went through some other wastes of big money on the roster, especially Patrick Queen, who was clearly making business decisions of his own on Thursday night.
CFB Minute – Pat Narduzzi was fired up after a Pitt win and took an extra jab at Penn State today when he met with the media. The Panthers are now ranked #25 after Narduzzi was calling for it following the win over Virginia Tech.
