Are we at a fatigue level with Joey Porter Jr. talk? If not, we might be pretty close. There were initially conflicting reports today on whether or not Porter would practice in-full today, which he hasn’t done all of camp or the early season. The Steelers don’t seem to know what’s going on here, so what is the best step forward? A trade may make both sides happy, but the Steelers may not see the value on their end. Is the dad effect a real thing with how fans feel about Porter? If the best they get back is a 3rd round pick, is it worth it? Is Porter worth this whole discussion to some people? It seems like many have turned to the ‘he’s not that good’ well of thinking.
Were the Steelers ‘generous’ in their contract offer(s) to Joey Porter Jr?
93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff was able to confirm to us (and has video evidence to back it up) that Joey Porter Jr. took part in all of the drills that the media was allowed to watch this afternoon. Jeff pointed out how Mike McCarthy was able to twist some words around so he didn’t give a fulfilling answer to the media about Porter. Jeff talked about how practices and press conferences are treated a little bit differently under McCarthy.
