The Steelers have placed a rarely-used tender on Aaron Rodgers. The move gives the Steelers security in the entire situation. If Rodgers were to sign with another team, it would give the Steelers a compensatory pick in next year’s draft. This also provides Rodgers with the incentive of a small raise, but he’s pretty much locked to the Steelers unless he chooses to retire. If this was so ‘set in stone’ like most of the Steelers media wants us to believe, why did they do this? The guys think it’s a bit curious. And a shout out to Mike DeFabo for pointing out that this was definitely not part of the Steelers plan. It sounds even more confusing than last year. Is the Rodgers retirement starting to build momentum
HOCKEY TALK! The Penguins beat the Flyers to extend the series to Game 6 tomorrow night in Philly. After facing a 3-0 deficit, what are the chances the Pens can win this series in 7? One of the producers here, that is a Flyers fan, jumped on everyone when Philly went up 3-0 in the series. How is he feeling right now? Mullsy is still picking the Penguins to lose thinking it could work as a reverse-jinx.
PM Team Sports Court w/ our friends from Edgar Snyder & Associates. Are Nick and Rob in approval of Poni being rehired by The Fan yesterday, less than an hour after quitting? The guys believe the Penguins will force a Game 7 against the Flyers. The guys think the Steelers went into the draft unprepared and think there is a real feeling that Aaron Rodgers won’t be back. Did Don Kelly misuse the bullpen last night?
