Mike thought the connection between Jacoby Brissett and the Ravens was pretty obvious given the injuries and the Cardinals making Brissett the QB3 after last week’s game. Mike said the Ravens need to redo the Lamar Jackson contract going into next season if they keep him because the cap hit will become astronomical. How does Lamar’s injury history play into everything? What kind of competition will there be to acquire a receiver? Mike made it sound like the Steelers have to play second fiddle to the Chiefs and they could be the front-runner to whoever KC doesn’t get out of Josh Downs and Brian Thomas Jr. Is Brandon Aiyuk back into the conversation? Mike doesn’t expect the Colts to get back big compensation for anyone because they already traded 2 good players for pennies on the dollar. What are the Chargers going to do at 0-7? Mike thinks the Chargers may be in a state of denial after their miserable start. Mike suggested that Mike Tomlin may prefer to not coach again, but explained why he’s in an unprecedented situation. Mike thinks what John Harbaugh is doing with the Giants only feeds the Tomlin fire to teams around the league.
