If the Steelers decide to roll with Mason Rudolph instead of Will Howard, could they get anything for Howard in a trade? Gerry Dulac doesn’t think there is a prayer that Howard gets ‘anything’ back in a trade. The guys pointed to a few times in history where we’ve seen mostly unknown QBs fetch something in return. Chris aligned himself with Gerry because he doesn’t think Howard is worth any pick from any team. Can they just hide Howard on the practice squad?
Pirates pre/post host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. The guys joked with Dan about some of the calls he got the other day during a rain delay. Dan expects Carmen Mlodzinski to get a few more starts, but he has not performed well after moving back to the rotation. Long term – Dan doesn’t think Mlodzinski will be anything more than a reliever, where he performs his best. Oneil Cruz is back in the lineup tonight. What is the fair expectation for Cruz as the season rolls to a finish? Dan would be surprised if Paul Skenes was down to his final start of the season, which is tomorrow afternoon.
