The guys were distracted by some characters on-site while doing the show at the Rivers Casino. Once we got back on the tracks, the conversation turned to Cam Heyward saying the Steelers won’t apologize for the outbursts they see on the sidelines. Do we view this differently since the team hasn’t accomplished anything in the last decade?
Former Pitt QB Nathan Peterman joined the show. Nate authored 2 of the biggest wins for Pitt football in the last 25 years – quarterbacking the team that beat both Penn State and Clemson in 2016. Nate gave the edge to the Penn State game when asked which game he remembers more fondly. How was the Pitt-Syracuse game so crazy a decade ago? Nate shouted out several guys that went from that Pitt team to the NFL. Nate loves what he sees from this current Pitt group and was really impressed by the win at Virginia Tech. Nate believes Pitt is a Top 5 ACC team entering this weekend of games. Where does Pitt go without Mason Heintschel? Nate told the guys what he sees in Holden Geriner as the starting QB the rest of the way. He said it’s hard not to like the overall experience Geriner has as he takes the reigns. The guys took Nate through the rest of Pitt’s schedule and he has them finishing 10-2.
