Matt explained why he doesn’t think Skenes is playing through injury. Matt believes it’s a mechanical issue that the Pirates are working on with Skenes which explains the reason for a few extra days off. Matt said Skenes has to get back to a north-south approach instead of east-west because that is the noticeable change in his delivery. Matt thinks Skenes will return to form at some point, but can’t promise that it’s this year. Matt doesn’t think Skenes is out of shape. What did Matt do during his off days in Miami?
