Former Pitt Panther Johnny Petrishen joined the show. The Pitt Panthers are 5-0, but lost Mason Heintschel for the season Friday night at Virginia Tech. JP loves the opportunity that is in front of Holden Geriner as the Panthers get set for UNC on Saturday. Johnny thinks Holden handled things really well in Blacksburg. He thinks a week of prep could have him open things up more in Pitt’s offense, but it will no doubt be a step down from Heintschel. Johnny expects more complimentary football because the Panthers will need to get things settled on the ground to help out their backup QB. JP believes Pitt has a ‘great’ defense even though things were a little sloppy against Virginia Tech last week. Johnny wants to see more turnovers from the defense and wants that group to return to an ‘elite’ level. How does Johnny feel about the situation facing Bill Belichick on Saturday? Johnny will be disappointed if the Panthers don’t finish 9-3.
