Matt thinks the ‘damage is done already’ when it comes to the salary cap being required to reach the World Series considering the teams that are left in the dance – and the Brewers leading the Dodgers 3-0 in the NLCS. Matt asked how much better teams like the Rays and Brewers would be than everyone else if they instituted a cap, considering they dominate year after year with some of the lowest payrolls in the game. Matt told the guys what has separated the remaining teams from teams like the Pirates. Is it a payroll issue or a commitment to winning that has stopped teams like the Pirates getting back into the postseason? Matt wondered if the Dodgers can come back to win the series since it’s the first time they don’t really feel any pressure.
