Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. The Penguins season is 1 week away as they open in Philly on 9/30. Tyler is most confident in the old guys because they have been around the block so many times. Tyler expects Evgeni Malkin to have a hard time as the season moves along, but thinks the coaching staff will manage his minutes on the ice to keep him fresh. TK wants to see Ben Kindel mature as he enters his second year in the league after such a promising rookie campaign. Tyler is a little bit worried about Arturs Silovs after the performance last night and added why he wants to see a clear starting goaltender this season. TK questioned if the Penguins will have enough grit defensively to keep opponents away from crashing the net. Tyler said the power play has to be a way to make opponents pay on a given night. How does TK view the rest of the Metro division and the Eastern Conference as a whole? Tyler thinks a 4th place finish in the Metro will get them in the playoffs.
