Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, David “DJ Cadence” Holifield has proudly called Wichita home since 1994. A graduate of Wichita South High School, Cadence has become a staple in the city’s music and entertainment scene. You can hear him weekday mornings on Carla and Cadence in the Morning from 6 to 10 a.m. on Power 93.5, and he keeps the energy high during the 5 p.m. Power Party Mix.
Along with being a DJ, Cadence is also an accomplished rapper and producer who has opened for major artists like DMX, Ludacris, Tech N9ne, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. His passion for music and community shines through every time he’s behind the mic or on stage. He’s a regular at some of Wichita’s biggest events, including Open Streets ICT and Riverfest.
Outside of the booth, you’ll find Cadence making amazing dishes in his kitchen, supporting local businesses, and spending time with family. His deep roots and positive energy continue to inspire and bring people together across the 316.
