As digital billboards have popped up in major cities across the world, folks have taken to the internet to share their thoughts and theories on what it all could mean. Because while the billboards do not feature the artist’s name, they do include her familiar “blohsh” symbol, which has been switched to blue. Accompanied by lyrics like — “Did I cross the line?,” “She’s the headlights I’m the deer,” and “I try to live in black and white.” The latter of which fans have pointed out comes from an unreleased track called “True Blue.”
So with that, and knowing that Eilish confirmed in late February that her new album “is mastered,” plus having previously used a similar tactic to promote 2021’s Happily Ever After, all signs point to Billie’s new batch of billboards being exactly what we all think them to be. The beginning of her brand new era — Duh.
Another detail worth noting — the billboards feature a shade of blue that now fills the profile photo and backdrop of her social media accounts.
So basically — buckle up for some new Billie, cause it’s coming.
