Described by Bru as “one of the golden boys of Netflix,” Harry Jowsey has made big waves since his US debut on Netflix’s 2020 hit show Too Hot To Handle. The 26-year old amassed over 4.2 million followers on Instagram, has been featured in GQ and Forbes, and even launched his own podcast and clothing line. “I think I’m a bit of a silly sausage, [who’s] done way too many reality shows,” he joked on the latest episode of The Bru Show. Explaining his experience as a part of two reality shows during the pandemic, Jowsey admitted that his whole career has changed. “I guess I’m kind of an influencer because of those shows, and a reality tv personality? A bunch of things.”
His latest endeavor, however, brought the influencer to the world of Dancing with the Stars in its 32nd season. “I would’ve never thought, in a million years, that I’d be able to, number one, do the show and, number two, make it that far” Jowsey admitted, citing himself as a terrible dancer. “Dude I thought I was gonna be out week one. I legitimately was like, cool, they’re gonna see me dance and be like ‘We gotta get this guy off the show.’” Jowsey credited his professional dancing partner Rylee Arnold for not only being able to teach him how to dance in the first place, but for making their performances so notable. “We were so blessed, we had so many people voting for us,” he said. “We made it all the way to week nine, which is kinda crazy - the quarter finals.” The two were eliminated from the show on “Taylor Swift Night” following their performance of the rumba.
Speaking of Rylee Arnold, the two have been fueling dating rumors for some time now. Their chemistry both on and off the dance floor was palpable, but the speculation officially started when the two were seen holding hands back in October. Since then, Jowsey and Arnold have continued to be close, even spending Thanksgiving together when Jowsey gifted his dance partner a nearly $15,000 bracelet. The reality star was wearing his matching bracelet to The Bru Show, which host Bru spotted. Side-stepping any romantic implications, Jowsey joked, “She gave me dance skills and I’m like, I should probably give you something apart from a headache.” He clarified, “I want[ed] to get Rylee a gift because she put up with me for two months and she taught me how to dance. I learned a lot about myself from being with Rylee for that period, and I was like ‘Damn, I’m really grateful and I wanna have a little trophy of our own to look at and remember the time.’”
Though his tenure on DWTS has ended, Jowsey still has his own hopes and predictions for the show. Despite rooting for “underdog” Alyson Hannigan to win, Jowsey accurately predicted that Xochitl Gomez would take home the trophy. “For people to win it, because it's a Len Goodman trophy, I think they have to be a little more serious and the people have to be technical,” he explained. “I personally think it’s between Ariana or Xochitl.”
The star also has someone in mind to be Arnold’s next partner. Without hesitation, Jowsey instantly named TikTok star Noah Beck as a great choice for next year’s season. “It would be smart of the team to put her with an influencer, because she thrived. She really brought a lot of eyeballs, the amount of content we were pushing out was great.”
