Dropping the updated track eight months after releasing the original song, Long’s addition of Mimi includes extra background vocals from Carey, as well as a new verse.

While the re-worked “Made For Me" is the first time we’ll be hearing the duo on a song together, it’s not their first time collaborating. Long, whom before stepping into the limelight spent years writing songs for others, co-wrote 2015’s “Infinity” and 2018’s “A No No” and “Runway” with Carey.

Praising the soulful singer when speaking about the collaboration in an official press release, Carey said, “When I got the call from JD to work on the ‘Made For Me’ remix, I said yes immediately. Muni is an amazing writer and performer, and this collaboration is a match made in heaven!”

A feeling we wholeheartedly share as Audacy Pop stations across the country are excited to shine a light on the best emerging artists in music with Launch. Already popping off on Hip-Hop/R&B charts and stations alike, Audacy's Launch is the perfect link to introduce new listeners across the country to music they should know, by connecting them to artists like Muni Long.
