When host Ed Lover asked his wife, Vanessa "Fruit" Roberts, about her take on Hip Hop's current drama between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion, she took no time with her response. "I think it's the stupidest thing on the planet and I think it's childish," says Vanessa. Asked to elaborate, she added that she believed it was Nicki who was to blame.

Whether over jealousy or bullying, "I really think she took something maybe that she heard or somebody brought to her -- it wasn't like it was something that Megan pointed out and said 'yeah, I'm talking about you,' and I think she just ran with it and she won't stop because she's getting all this energy from her 'Barbz.'"

"Megan did put out a record called 'HISS,' Ed reminds his wife, "and she took some direct shots at Nicki on 'HISS'... and then Nicki went social media crazy on her."

"I think it's too much though," Mrs. Lover says. "I think it's too much when she brought her mother in... you don't do that. It's disrespectful."

Ed equates this new beef to that of JAY-Z and Nas' beef that began in the late '90s. At one point in their quarrel, HOV went on the radio to apologize after his mother told him he had gone too far. "I hope that's the case in this instance," Vanessa says. "We all have to realize that Megan's grandmother passed and then her mother passed... right on top of each other as far as death, and that's really a big thing for her. It's heartbreaking."
