"Trap Queen" rapper Fetty Wap has been sentenced to six years in prison by a Long Island judge for his participation in a bi-coastal drug ring.

Birth name Willie Junior Maxwell II, was accused of driving to Long Island, NY about six times to purchase cocaine that was then redistributed around New York and New Jersey along with five others. Wap however, was personally accused of distributing 25 kilograms of the substance.
He was arrested October 29, 2021 and let free on a $500,000 bond until he violated the conditions of his release by allegedly threatening someone with a gun via Facetime.
The Hip-Hop star plead guilty in August last year to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine. Prosecutors pushed for a sentencing of somewhere between seven and nine years as they believe he is “large-scale narcotics trafficker” that “continues to use his fame, sizable platform, and influence to glamorize the drug trade.”
