Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Starting on Monday anyone over the age of 16 with an underlying health condItion becomes eligible for a coronavirus vaccination.

The vaccines will be administered at retail pharmacy locations and not through sites affiliated with the Southern Nevada Health District, like Cashman Center and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

According to the Nevada Health Response website, almost 680 thousand Nevadans have received at least one coronavirus vaccine, with roughly 379,000 - or just over 12 percent- of the population now fully vaccinated.

All of those 16 and over will become eligible April 5th. Experts recommend that if you’re already in an eligible group, get your vaccine as quickly as possible as more people eligible might mean more time making an appointment that’s convenient for you.
