Returning to his hometown of New Orleans for the latest installment of his annual Lil WeezyAna Festival, Lil Wayne served up not one, but two major reunions — between the Hot Boys and Big Tymers.

As previously promised, the Hot Boys, comprised of Lil WayneJuvenile, Turk, and B.G., reunited for the first time in over 15 years, and they weren’t the only ones, as Birdman and Mannie Fresh, also came together to reprise the Big Tymers to hit the festival stage alongside the rap supergroup.

Starting off with a solo Weezy set, beginning with “3Peat,” followed by a few more of his countless bops like “Hustler Musik,” “I’m Single,” “Love Me,” “Lollipop” and “Mrs. Officer.”

During his solo set, Weezy once again remarked about being overlooked as the Super Bowl Halftime show performer, which went to non-New Orleans native, Kendrick Lamar.

“I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my a** off to get that position and it was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me,” he told the crowd Saturday. Wayne then announced he was transitioning to the “Features” segment of his show.

The reunion set, which according to the New Orleans Times-Pecayune, lasted about 22 minutes, was made double as dope when the Big Tymers’ duo joined him on stage to serve up their classic “Still Fly.”

The heat was turned up, when Turk, B.G. and Juvenile, all came out individually delivering various solo hits before the Hot Boys assembled, for the first time since 2008, to deliver their signature song, “We on Fire.”

The group continued to run through their catalog, and eventually came together with Birdman and Fresh for Cash money takeover performance of “ I Need A Hot Girl.”

Lil WeezyAna Fest was put on by Live Nation Urban and was also live-streamed globally exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
