A new season of VERZUZ is on the way! The anticipated battles were just confirmed on Instagram. “Verzuz Family! We have a few big shows lined up in the next few months!!”, the official VERZUZ Instagram account wrote. “...Who can guess them all!? More info to come.”

A promotional flyer with blurred names was posted to the platform yesterday (March 23). The new season of VERZUZ begins with an Easter Sunday battle on April 17 featuring Gospel duos Mary Mary and Bebe & CeCe Winans. Also newly revealed, a “Fight Night” special on May 14 coinciding with a boxing match. 90s Hip Hop groups Cypress Hill and Onyx will face-off on that day.
The soon-to-be revealed dates include a memorial day weekend batte, a Juneteenth special, and a first-ever label match up. VERZUZ has not officially announced (or hinted) which acts would participate in a label match up. However, fans speculate that Cash Money, No Limit, Bad Boy and So So Def could be ideal contenders.
VERZUZ was acquired by video-sharing app Triller last year. VERZUZ founders Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have recently partnered with Lena Waithe for a documentary titled Gifted & Black, which will tell the story of the VERZUZ platform.
